Miss Karlyn (Co-Owner/Director/Instructor - Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Irish, Poms, Modern, Production, Petite Pirouettes)

Miss Karlyn serves as NADC's director. Dancing from an early age, she has experience in many dance styles, including ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, modern, dance team, musical theatre, Irish stepdance, and dance history. Karlyn danced at the competitive level in her youth, attended dance conferences throughout the Midwest, and performed in regional shows which fueled her desire to train at the college level. In 2010, Karlyn began teaching in the Fox Valley where she taught classes and coached competitive teams and dancers for four years. In 2012, she began her college and dance career at the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay majoring in both Dance Education and Arts Management. In her dance experience at UWGB, Karlyn was lucky to be a featured soloist and choreograph for the theatre department's annual dance production, "Danceworks". Karlyn likes to remind her students that good technique can get you far, but a great attitude takes you farther. Karlyn is excited to share her passion for the performing arts with Calumet County and looks forward to being a part of the community!

Miss Alex (Petite Pirouettes/Story Book Dance/ Tap)

Miss Alex joined the NADC staff in 2015 and is no stranger to the stage! She began taking ballet in her youth, but quickly changed paths when she found theatre! She has taken part in many regional musicals and performing arts productions. Her areas of study include voice, musical theatre, and tap dance. Miss Alex is also a member of the Oshkosh Chamber Singers and is NADC's resident Zumba instructor! She is eager to share her routines, excitement, and energy with NADC and our community!

Miss Maddie  (Petite Pirouettes/ Ballet/ Lyrical/ Jazz/Pom)

Ms. Maddie has over 16 years of dance experience in ballet, jazz, hip-hop, pom, kick, lyrical and ballet en pointe. She began her dance experience in the Fox Valley, and then relocated to Sheboygan county. In High School, she competed on the Varsity Dance Team in Pom and Kick divisions. She has also held the position of Dance Captain in shows such as Brigadoon and Mary Poppins through CCCT.Ms. Maddie is a student at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, where she is a Pre-Law Democracy and Justice Studies and Humanities double major, the Treasurer of the Sisterhood of Zeta Omega Tau, and a Resident Assistant in university housing. She hopes to pursue a legal degree after graduation.

Personal Statement:“I strive to offer an enriching, exciting and engaging environment for each student that I meet. Dance is one of my largest passions and I hope to share that passion with your child! It is my personal philosophy that strong dancers are made only once they understand the “how” and are able to shift their focus to the “why” of movement.This philosophy is built a solid foundation of dance fundamentals including an understanding of: rhythm, space, relationships, energy, balance, musicality and emotion.”

Miss Taylor  (Petite Pirouettes/ Hip Hop/Jazz/Tap/Pom/Lyrical/Musical Theatre Dance)

Miss Taylor has been with NADC since 2015. Her dance experience is in Hip Hop, Ballet, Lyrical, Tap, Musical Theatre, Modern, and all styles of Jazz. Contemporary Jazz is her favorite style to choreograph! Miss Taylor began dancing at age 8, training in the Fox Cities, first taking classes in Ballet and Lyrical. She began her competitive dance career almost instantly, competing in the lyrical category. She continued to compete all through high school in jazz, hip hop, & lyrical, as well as her high school Pom and Dance team.

 After high school, her love of the performing arts led her to study theatre arts at the University of Wisconsin - Green Bay where she majored in Theatre Performance and minored in dance studies. During her career at UWGB, Miss Taylor was cast in several mainstage productions and was a featured dancer in the dance department’s annual concert “Danceworks”. Miss Taylor was also a member of the UWGB Phoenix Dance Team during its 2013 season.

At NADC, Miss Taylor teaches and oversees NADC’s Hip Hop program. She has also taught Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, and Musical Theatre. Miss Taylor also acts as Assistant Competition Director for NADC’s competitive companies.

Miss Sara (Office Manager) 

 

Miss Sara is our friendly face in the studio office! She entered the dance world when her daughter Jordan began taking classes at age three. The more her daughter danced, the more involved she became! She has much expereice "behind the scenes" in studio industry having worked and volunteered at two studios in the Fox Valley in reception and bookkeeping. Miss Sara brings her fabulous attention to detail and organization expertise to the various projects she does for NADC. She will size your dancer for costumes and shoes, answer your questions about your account, help you with proccessing payment, and communicate important studio information. Miss Sara also acts as NADC's stage manager come show time! Her organization and positive outlook helps NADC to run smoothly!
